Overview

Using the CRH O’Regan System provides a fast, safe, easy and effective method for eliminating internal hemorrhoids. There is no “down time” for patients and fewer than 5% of patients have a recurrence of their hemorrhoid in a two-year period.

Preparation

There is no special preparation required, just a diagnosis from a Carolina Digestive doctor who will determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure.

The Procedure

Your doctor will use a small suction device that gently aligns the hemorrhoid. The device then deploys a rubber band around the base of the hemorrhoid. The band causes the blood supply to the hemorrhoid to be cut off, which causes the vessel to shrink and fall off.

After the Procedure

There is no complicated recovery involved with hemorrhoid banding. You may feel fullness in the rectum for a couple of days, but other than avoiding heavy lifting, you can return to your routine immediately.
