He has taught nationally in the states of Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Dr. Deal is married with three children. His interests include family time, Christian faith, and travel.
